Azerai Welcomes Back Overseas Visitors to Vietnam

Azerai Welcomes Back Overseas Visitors to Vietnam - TRAVELINDEXHo Chi Minh City, Vietnam, March 29, 2022 / TRAVELINDEX / As Vietnam lifts the last of its travel restrictions for international visitors, one of Southeast Asia’s most ambitious new luxury hotel groups is rolling out a welcome mat that leads to new accommodation, pursuits and packages.

Vietnam announced the end of travel restrictions on March 16 after being closed for two years due to COVID-19. International visitors now only need to present a negative RT-PCR issued within 72 hours before departure for Vietnam or a negative rapid antigen test within 24 hours of departure and certified by a competent authority in the issuing country.

Azerai Ke Ga Bay, an elegant and secluded oceanfront retreat in southeastern Vietnam, launched in November 2020 while the country’s borders were closed due to the pandemic.

Now that Vietnam has announced the end of quarantine and other restrictions, overseas visitors can experience the 46-key resort and its pristine five-kilometer white sand beach for the first time. Azerai Ke Ga Bay is located 180 kilometers east of Ho Chi Minh City and features a mix of contemporary suites and private-pool suites set amid lush gardens.

All three of Azerai Resorts’ properties in Vietnam—the others include Azerai Can Tho in the Mekong Delta and Azerai La Residence, Hue in the former imperial capital—have rolled out special offerings that cater to travelers’ renewed desire for privacy, exclusivity and space.

The properties have also each unveiled a suite of unique experiences to explore the local surroundings and be more fully immersed in the culture.

Azerai Can Tho earlier this year introduced one- and two-bedroom private pool villas to complement the resort’s existing three-, four- and five-bedroom villas, offering spacious and private new accommodation options for groups of all sizes, from couples to extended families.

The villas range from 636sqm (Pool Villas) to 784sqm (River Pool Villa) to an expansive 1,583 sqm (Mekong Pool Villa) and include dedicated villa hosts who can help to personalize the guest experience. And, of course, villa guests have access to all of the resort’s world-class amenities and culinary offerings, in addition to private luxury boat cruises in the Mekong Delta, lavish picnics under the resort’s mature banyan trees and other local excursions and activities.

Azerai La Residence, Hue debuted an elegant 55-foot (17-meter) cruise boat in 2021, offering guests one of the most stylish and sophisticated ways to experience the Perfume River in central Vietnam. With its classic hardwood trim and bright red accents, as well as spacious private lounge areas in the front and back, the new boat provides a stark contrast to the crowded and noisy dragon boats so commonly seen in Hue.

The new vessel, locally built, accommodates up to 16 passengers and embarks on three types of excursions: an afternoon tea cruise, a sunset cocktail cruise and a dinner cruise. The covered middle section of the boat serves as a dining room by night and sightseeing deck by day.

For more information on applying for an e-visa visit the official website. Citizens of 13 countries qualify for visa exemptions and can visit for up to 15 days regardless of passport type and entry purpose.

The latest conditions for entry into Vietnam should be confirmed with the nearest Vietnamese consulate and/or through a booking agent to ensure compatibility.

Azerai Can Tho Launches Private Pool Villas

1080 809 wttc2

Azerai Can Tho Launches Private Pool Villas - TRAVELINDEXCan Tho, Vietnam, January 19, 2022 / TRAVELINDEX / As travelers around the world look to turn the page on the pandemic, one thing is becoming increasingly clear – space is now the ultimate luxury.

With this in mind, Azerai Can Tho has launched one- and two-bedroom private pool villas to complement the resort’s existing three-, four- and five-bedroom villas, offering exclusive and private new accommodation options for groups of all sizes, from couples to extended families.

“These one- and two-bedroom private pool villas open the door to a whole new class of traveler seeking an enhanced sense of seclusion and exclusivity,” said General Manager Nicolas Pillet.

The resort’s villas range from 636sqm (Pool Villas) to 784sqm (River Pool Villa) to an expansive 1,583 sqm (Mekong Pool Villa), offering guests abundant privacy along with other unique benefits, such as dedicated villa hosts who can help to personalize the experience.

And, of course, villa guests have access to all of the resort’s other world-class amenities and culinary offerings, in addition to private luxury boat cruises in the Mekong Delta, lavish picnics under the resort’s mature banyan trees and other local excursions and activities.

Three hours by car from Ho Chi Minh City, Azerai Can Tho is situated on a private islet in the Mekong Delta that’s accessible only by boat. The resort’s lush grounds cover more than eight hectares and support 60 rooms in addition to the five private pool villas that deliver residential-style accommodation.

Designed by French-Canadian architect Pascal Trahan, the villas at Azerai Can Tho embrace the resort’s tropical surroundings, with sliding-glass doors in most rooms able to open up significantly to draw in outdoor breezes.

The interiors feature a blend of stone, slate, light-coloured woods and rattan accents, with pitched ceilings that expand an overall sense of spaciousness. The locally sourced woods and stones were sourced in Vietnam by a Scandinavian design firm. The overarching aesthetic is sleek and minimalist.

The design signature in the pool villas is similar to that of Azerai Can Tho’s other guest rooms, featuring an understated elegance that is both practical and comfortable. Furniture and décor embrace neutral colour tones, and the exteriors have been designed to blend harmoniously with the tropical island setting.

Azerai Can Tho was named one of the “Top 25 Resorts in Asia” (No. 13) in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2021 Readers’ Choice Awards earlier this year, becoming one of only six properties in Vietnam to make the popular annual “best-of” list. The awards are the longest-running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry.

Resort set for Nov. 12 reopening, following the easing of COVID-related restrictions.

The secluded 46-key resort, which sits on a pristine five-kilometer stretch of white sand overlooking the East Sea, is set to reopen on Nov. 12 following the easing of COVID-related restrictions in Vietnam.

Azerai Ke Ga Bay, located only 30 minutes by car from the new PGA NovaWorld Phan Thiet, just down the beautiful coastline, has introduced a special package—the first of several planned—that includes 18 holes of golf, along with other benefits at the resort.

The Norman-designed courses feature 36 total holes. The 18-hole PGA Ocean Course opened in April 2021 as one of the longest tracks in Vietnam, at 7,400 yards (par 72), and plays along the picturesque Phan Thiet Bay. The second 18-hole course is scheduled to debut later this year.

The new “Tee Off Time” golf package at Azerai Ke Ga Bay features a two-night stay in a Deluxe Suite with a garden view, daily breakfast for two persons, and a golf round of 18 holes for two adults (including green fee, caddy fee, shared buggy and roundtrip transfers to and from the golf course) on the PGA Ocean Course.

The package also includes a priority upgrade to a higher room category (depending on availability), daily afternoon tea from 3:30pm to 4:30pm, and complimentary Wifi throughout the resort, among other perks.

PGA NovaWorld Phan Thiet is home to a spacious, 4,000-square-meter clubhouse selling food and beverages (including alcohol), as well as golf equipment and apparel. Jazz Nights at Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh

Featuring striking black and white marble floors, exposed wooden beams, leather banquettes, and a dramatic circular bar, The Attic oozes Prohibition-style old world charm. Alma’s Splash Waterpark Makes Waves With The Locals
Alma’s Splash Water Park has proven to be a magnet for local families seeking splash-tastic fun on the thirty-hectare beachfront resort. On Vietnam’s Cam Ranh peninsula, the 6000-square-metre water park features an array of open and closed tube slides, a lazy river and a wave pool. A kid’s pool includes mini-slides and a dumping bucket in a shallow water playground. Two American-style food trucks serve a variety of tasty snacks. Open on weekdays from noon until 5pm and on weekends from 10am until 5pm, access to the water park is complimentary for Alma’s inhouse guests and priced at 160,000 VND (USD 7) per adult and 100,000 VND (USD 4.30) per child. SESUN Grill & Beach Bar Supplies Samui’s Freshest Seafood Experience
Koh Samui is famous both for its buzzing bar scene and its super-fresh seafood. At SESUN Grill & Beach Bar, one of the stellar dining options at the just-unveiled Hyatt Regency Koh Samui, the two elements combine to seismic effect: fusing unique alchemy as appealing to local bon vivants as it is to resort guests. The fishing net on the roof of the venue reflects the provenance of the seafood, which is supplied from sustainable sources by local fishermen. The marine bounty is then grilled over coconut husks, Samui style, to impart maximum flavour. Other menu highlights include succulent Wagyu steaks, lamb skewers and Mediterranean-inspired dishes that make full use of produce from the resort’s organic garden. The piece de resistance, meanwhile, comes courtesy of signature cocktails created by the venue’s in-house mixologist.

Nesting in Krabi
Perched on a lush hillside at the far end of little-known Tubkaek Beach, Banyan Tree Krabi’s Saffron Restaurant commands majestic views across the bay and a panorama of one of Thailand’s most iconic scenes — the towering limestone cliffs that jut from the sparkling Andaman Sea. Saffron has installed three “bird’s nest” tables, perched precariously among the trees, and accessible only by private gangway. The Bird’s Nests are fast becoming one of Krabi’s most Instagrammable viewpoints, and reservations for dinner or afternoon tea at one of these elevated roosts are drawing in curious diners from near and far. Saffron serves a delectable afternoon tea from 2pm—5pm, and evening dinner of sumptuous Thai cuisine, from 6pm—11pm. Patrons might be relieved to know that an electronic funicular escorts guests to the heights of the restaurant, from which it’s just a few steps into the tree canopy and a Bird’s Nest table.

Sunset River Cruises, Fresh Seafood BBQs and More at Azerai Resorts
In Vietnam’s former imperial capital, Azerai La Residence, Hue recently launched a 55-foot (17-meter) cruise boat, offering hotel guests and local residents one of the most stylish and exclusive ways to experience the Perfume River. The elegant boat features classic hardwood trim and bright red accents. It accommodates up to 16 passengers and embarks on three types of excursions: an afternoon tea cruise, a sunset cocktail cruise and a dinner cruise. In the Mekong Delta, Azerai Can Tho offers a similarly unique way to take in the labyrinth waterways of southern Vietnam. An evening sunset cruise includes cocktails and canapes as the boat plies the river at the “Golden Hour,” providing spectacular views of the lush surrounding countryside and vibrant cityscape of Can Tho. On Vietnam’s southeastern coast, the oceanfront retreat Azerai Ke Ga Bay has introduced a popular seafood BBQ dinner including fresh-catch lobster, crab, prawn, squid satay, sea scallops and more. The 46-key resort is located 180km east of Ho Chi Minh City on a sweeping five-kilometer white sand beach overlooking the East Sea.

Afternoon Tea @ Banyan Tree Samui
Known as chow samui, the local folks of this tropical Thai island — plus a rather sizable expat population — are strong supporters of their home community on Koh Samui. And for a small band of aficionados, there’s nothing quite like passing a lazy Sunday afternoon, basking under a parasol at Banyan Tree Samui, enjoying a refined afternoon tea. Situated on a hillside between the popular beaches of Chaweng and Lamai, this resort is the ideal venue for taking in a panoramic vista of the sapphire sea, all the while pouring Earl Grey from porcelain pots, and wavering over a selection of cakes, pastries, sandwiches, and of course fresh scones with clotted cream. Pièce de résistance is a locally inspired Mango Paradise Tea Set — a mango-flavored disneyland of eclairs, tarts, mousse, cheesecake, macarons, and more (USD35 per set).

World-Class Dining at Metropole Hanoi
The culinary offerings at Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi deliver guests and local Hanoians alike a taste of the world’s finest cuisines. From exquisite French fine dining at Le Beaulieu to rustic European and New World dishes with a handmade touch at angelina, the restaurants and bars at the hotel tantalize international tastebuds. From now until the end of September, the hotel is introducing exclusive “Tour du Monde” menus featuring delicate flavours from distant lands. The special offers include a 6-course set menu at Le Beaulieu with an optional wine pairing, seven distinctive a la carte items at Le Club Bar (including Mediterranean, Morrocan, American, Thai and other favorites), a new Afternoon Tea set at Le Club Bar, and delicious new pastries at L’Epicerie (such as chocolate madeleines, traditional New York-style cheesecake and more).
