The launch reinforces Chiang Mai’s position as a rising regional hub for business events and experiential travel, in line with Thailand’s growing influence within Asia’s MICE landscape.

The launch of Plaii has also generated strong interest from both domestic and regional markets, particularly South Korea, Taiwan, and Greater China, underscoring Chiang Mai’s growing appeal as a global event destination.

Plaii represents a transformational moment for Chiang Mai and for Marriott’s presence in Northern Thailand,” said Mr. Rajat Chatterjee, General Manager of Chiang Mai Marriott Hotel. “Our vision is to establish Chiang Mai as a globally recognized MICE and lifestyle destination where advanced event technology, business creativity, and cultural heritage converge. Tourism and Music Partner Around Entertainment and Communications for Innovation, Investments & Jobs

Tourism and Music Partner Around Entertainment and Communications for Innovation, Investments & Jobs - TRAVELINDEX

Tourism and Music Partner Around Entertainment and Communications for Innovation, Investments & Jobs - TRAVELINDEXRiyadh, Saudi Arabia, November 12, 2025 / TRAVELINDEX / UN Tourism has partnered with UMusic Hospitality & Lifestyle (UMHL), the entertainment-driven hospitality venture powered by Universal Music Group (UMG) and the Center for Music Ecosystems (CME) to harness the power of music tourism to drive economic growth and job creation, with a focus on high growth-potential economies.

A new Memorandum of Understanding, announced during the UN Tourism General Assembly in Riyadh, will position the creative industries as a transformative force for economic growth and community empowerment through tourism. The partnership will also draw on the influence on some of the biggest names in global entertainment, including newly-appointed UN Tourism Ambassador Khabane Lame, one of the world’s most influential digital creators with over 250 million social media followers. Together, they will amplify the work to the global creative community, encouraging people to recognize music as a viable path to entrepreneurship, job creation, and economic mobility.

UN Tourism Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili says: “Tourism is at its strongest when it amplifies creativity. By uniting the creative and tourism sectors, we can strengthen local capacity, unlock innovation, and ensure the benefits of culture and music reach communities everywhere.”

“Music has an unmatched power to attract travelers, energize cities, and create opportunity,” said Robert Lavia, CEO of UMusic Hospitality & Lifestyle. “UMusic Hospitality & Lifestyle was founded on the idea that music has the power to shape economies and unite communities. By identifying and investing in cultural hubs around the world, we’re not just creating destinations, we’re amplifying the creative energy that drives tourism, inspires pride, and generates lasting economic impact. This partnership with UN Tourism to enable CME to accelerate its work in music tourism will demonstrate music’s power to deliver economic growth for communities everywhere.”

Realizing massive potential of music tourism

The opportunity to accelerate economic growth by unifying music and tourism is significant. Tourism accounts for one in every nine jobs worldwide and music tourism is estimated to reach a value of $267 billion by 2030. However, it remains a niche sector. The policies, investments, and networks required to expand music tourism – particularly in emerging markets – are not yet optimized. This partnership aims to align objectives and generate new data, research, and evidence to position music tourism as a key driver of local economic development.

CME will issue a series of reports in the coming year to further expand upon the potential of music tourism. This data will be put into action by UMHL, which is developing hotels and creative hubs worldwide, to support all UN Tourism stakeholders and signatories.

The new partnership broadens CME’s mission, adding music tourism to CME’s work with other parts of the music economy, where it is establishing the path, partnerships, and policies to accelerate the role and impact of music to eradicate poverty by driving growth, creating jobs, and improving local economic conditions.

Beachfront Dining Elevated Rava Beach Club Launches Pura Vida Sunday Brunch - TRAVELINDEX

Beachfront Dining Elevated Rava Beach Club Launches Pura Vida Sunday Brunch - TRAVELINDEXPhuket, Thailand, November 12, 2025 / TRAVELINDEX / Everything you thought you knew about brunch ends here. Rava Beach Club now launches Pura Vida Brunch, transforming Sundays into a celebration of exceptional food, leisure, and beachfront living. Rava Beach Club carries forward the legacy of Banyan Tree Phuket’s celebrated brunches, reimagined for today’s generation of travellers and discerning locals. By combining premium seafood, fire-grilled meats, authentic Thai flavours, live entertainment, and unparalleled beachfront access, Pura Vida Sunday Brunch establishes itself as the island’s essential Sunday ritual.

Every Sunday from 12pm to 3:30pm, Thailand’s largest beachfront destination invites guests to experience Phuket’s only beach club brunch where dining, swimming, and seaside lounging exist as one continuous experience across 180 metres of Bang Tao Beach. Priced at THB 2,900 net per person, the experience includes a bottle of house wine per couple.

Philosophy of Pure Living

The name “Pura Vida” reflects an appreciation for life in its purest form. Here, brunch focuses on what matters: premium, ethically sourced ingredients, refined techniques, and the island’s natural beauty. A monthly rotating menu ensures each visit brings fresh discovery of flavours to reflect season change.

Culinary Journey

The raw bar features French oysters paired with carefully crafted condiments. Fresh tuna, salmon, and Hamachi sashimi follow, dressed minimally to let the quality speak.

The cooked seafood bar builds on this foundation with New Zealand mussels, blue swimmer crab, king prawns, and fresh local prawns receiving Rava’s signature charcoal-grilled treatment.

A charcuterie selection features thinly sliced Wagyu bresaola, Serrano ham, pastrami, and mortadella alongside local artisanal cheeses, homemade sourdough, and traditional accompaniments. The sausage sizzle station celebrates artisanal sausage makers with locally crafted varieties served hot off the grill with an array of condiments. Live stations add theatre as sushi chefs prepare fresh maki and nigiri, while pasta chefs toss guests’ choice of gnocchi, spaghetti, or fettuccine with nduja, seafood, or carbonara sauces.

At the carving station, the heart of the feast reveals itself. Rotisserie beef, roast pork belly, charcoal grilled chicken, smoked pork ribs, and whole local grouper take centre stage, each prepared with Rava’s signature fire-grilling technique. Traditional accompaniments—jus, mint jelly, apple sauce, mustard—allow guests to compose their plates with intention.

The Thai Corner honours Thailand’s culinary heritage with spicy Som Tum (Thai green papaya salad), Yum Nua Yang (Thai beef salad), stir-fried sweet and sour fish, chicken with cashew nuts, and Southern-style noodles—dishes that balance bold heat and fragrance. The preparations stay true to Thai tradition, with no compromise on technique or flavour.

To close, the dessert station includes yuzu cheesecake with strawberry jelly, tiramisu, chocolate mousse with orange crumb, and carrot cake crowned with cream cheese frosting, alongside an ice cream bar with customisable toppings for a refreshing finish.

The Veuve Clicquot Experience

For those seeking the ultimate indulgence, Rava introduces the Veuve Clicquot Brunch starting 5 October 2025. Priced at THB 5,900 net per person, this edition pairs a bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne per couple with the complete brunch menu, elevating an already exceptional experience to new heights.

The Chef’s Vision

“My vision for Pura Vida Brunch is to celebrate ingredients for what they are: pure, honest, and full of life,” shares Chef Joshua Gray, Head Chef of Rava Beach Club. “By pairing fresh produce with refined techniques, we create bold, impactful flavours that reflect both Phuket’s natural bounty and global culinary inspirations.”

Chef Gray’s commitment to sustainability and ingredient provenance shapes every aspect of the menu. While premium oysters, Wagyu beef, and lamb are imported for their exceptional quality, Rava proudly partners with local farmers, cheesemakers, and fishermen. Local grouper, artisanal cheeses, and locally crafted sausages bring regional character to the menu, ensuring each plate tells a story that bridges global excellence with authentic local partnerships.

Beyond the Plate

What truly distinguishes Rava’s Sunday Brunch is its understanding that memorable experiences extend beyond food alone. Throughout October, live DJs and percussionists create an uplifting atmosphere that blends with the sound of the sea. From November, the experience expands with immersive performances, dancers, and parades, transforming each Sunday into a beachfront celebration.

Set within Laguna Phuket, Rava Beach Club offers guests complete access to three infinity pools, where the rhythm of the day shifts from relaxed afternoon lounging to vibrant social energy as the sun begins its descent. Beachfront sunbeds invite guests to extend their stay, transitioning seamlessly from dining to seaside relaxation without ever leaving the venue. This integration of culinary excellence with full beach club amenities creates an experience unavailable anywhere else in Phuket.

Rava Beach Club is located within Laguna Phuket on Bang Tao Beach, easily accessible with a 20-minute transfer from Phuket International Airport.

Pura Vida Sunday Brunch is available every Sunday from 12 pm to 3:30 pm.

Magnificent Culinary Collaboration Between Blue Elephant and basil

Magnificent Culinary Collaboration Between Blue Elephant and basil - TRAVELINDEXBangkok, Thailand, November 11, 2025 / TRAVELINDEX / In a moment destined to be remembered as one of Bangkok’s most extraordinary culinary events, Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok proudly presents “Once in a Lifetime” – an exquisite Four-Hands Charity Dinner that unites two icons of Thai gastronomy: Master Chef Nooror Somany Steppe of Blue Elephant and Chef Manachai Konkangplu of basil.

Taking place on Thursday, 13 November 2025 at basil, this exceptional evening is more than a dinner — it is a journey through time, flavor, and compassion, bringing together the past and present of Thai culinary artistry in support of Operation Smile and the Mercy Centre Klong Toey, under the Marriott Worldwide Business Council Thailand’s “Road to Give” initiative.

A Dialogue of Eras: Tradition Meets Evolution

In a mesmerizing six-course experience, Master Chef Nooror and Chef Manachai engage in a culinary dialogue — each course a reflection of their philosophies, heritage, and devotion to the Thai kitchen. Together, they weave an unforgettable narrative where royal recipes once lost to time meet modern interpretations of simplicity perfected through precision.

The evening begins with the “Prelude to the Journey,” where Chef Manachai’ s Raw Thai Wagyu Beef Salad with Wild Basil Leaves pays homage to his Isan roots. Bold yet refined, this dish transforms a humble hunter’s recipe into a modern expression of courage and craftsmanship.

In “Chapter I – The Encounter,” Master Chef Nooror presents her iconic Phetchabun Tamarind & French “Landes” Foie Gras and Chicken Wing — a groundbreaking creation that first redefined Thai fine dining 45 years ago. This symphony of tamarind, palm sugar, and foie gras remains a landmark in Thai culinary innovation, epitomizing the fusion of Thai heritage and French elegance.

“Chapter II – The Dialogue of Masters” unfolds as a crescendo of collaboration.
Chef Manachai’s Southern Thai Blue Crab Curry, a tribute to his mentor Ajarn Srisamorn, harmonizes traditional southern spice with contemporary finesse.

The course continues with Sea Bass with “Whisper of Love” — Chef Manachai’s signature reinterpretation of the classic curry, paired with a crisp pandan-wrapped black sticky rice whose texture and legend embody Thai romance reborn.

It is followed by Master Chef Nooror’s Klong Phai Free-Range Chicken Curry with Rice Noodles & Southern Braised Beef Cheek in Green Curry Paste, a radiant union of flavors inspired by her royal Thai lineage and global artistry.

The journey culminates in the “Finale – The Sweet Reminiscence,” as Chef Manachai reawakens the royal dessert Kanom Koh Mapraw Orn.
Steamed glutinous rice dumplings filled with sweet shredded coconut are bathed in อบเทียน (candle-scented) coconut cream — perfumed with cinnamon, jasmine smoke, and pandan — an aroma that whispers of ancient Thai kitchens illuminated by candlelight.

A Night of Heritage, Heart, and Humanity

This exceptional collaboration extends beyond gastronomy — it is a celebration of Thai culture, generosity, and the spirit of giving back.
The event forms part of Marriott International’s global “Road to Give” initiative, an annual charity movement uniting associates and guests across the world through wellness and community-driven fundraising efforts.

All proceeds from the evening will be donated to Operation Smile, which provides free cleft surgeries for children in need, and the Mercy Centre Klong Toey, which supports underprivileged communities in Bangkok through education and care.

“This dinner is more than a culinary collaboration; it is a dialogue between generations — where legacy meets evolution,” said Anne Poonnika, Executive Assistant Manager, Sales & Marketing at Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit. “To see Master Chef Nooror and Chef Manachai share one kitchen, one vision, and one purpose is a moment of grace. Together, they remind us that true artistry transcends time — and that generosity, like great cuisine, begins with the heart.”

The Hari Hong Kong Partners Showcases Contemporary Artists Rooted to Indonesia

900 675 wttc2

The Hari Hong Kong Partners Showcases Contemporary Artists Rooted to Indonesia - TRAVELINDEXHong Kong, Hong Kong SAR, November 11, 2025 / TRAVELINDEX / The Hari Hong Kong has partnered with White Cube Hong Kong, to share a selection of works from ‘Thresholds,’ a group exhibition featuring the work of contemporary artists whose practices are rooted in or connected to Indonesia.

Through a diverse range of mediums, the temporary exhibition explores the interwoven cycles of life, death and transformation, with a focus on themes of ritual, spirituality, and reincarnation. Artworks will be on display at the hotel until 31 March 2026.

To celebrate the exhibition, The Hari Hong Kong is offering menu specials inspired by Indonesian cuisine. At The Lounge, one of the public spaces where ‘Thresholds’ adorns the walls, visitors can enjoy dishes such as chicken karaage wrapped in pandan leaf, or pandan coconut panna cotta. These can be enjoyed alongside the Threshold Special, a pandan-flavoured cocktail or mocktail. The pandan leaf, a staple in Indonesian cooking, adds a sweet aroma and vibrant green colour to the limited-time dishes and drinks. The pandan leaf also holds spiritual significance. Known as a symbol of purity, the leaf is often used for the woven basket of Canang Sari, daily offerings.

Curated by Galuh Sukardi, an independent curator based in Indonesia, ‘Thresholds’ brings together painting, sculpture, textile, drawing and silverware by multigenerational artists: Galuh Anindita, Arahmaiani, Christine Ay Tjoe, Nadiah Bamadhaj, Kei Imazu, Ines Katamso, I Gusti Ayu Kadek Murniasih (Murni), Citra Sasmita and Jennifer Tee.

Each artist charts their own individual journey of transformation: spiritual, political, physical or mythological. Forming a chorus of unique experiences, each shaped by the crossing of a ‘threshold’, the works selected reflect an understanding of the coexistence of light and dark; a dynamic whereby opposite forces are not at odds but held in balance.

Rooted in Indonesian traditions, and amid contemporary ecological, spiritual and social fractures, the exhibition takes the concept of the black-and-white Balinese poleng cloth as a point of a departure. Traditionally used to adorn statues, shrines and sacred trees, the cloth’s bold, criss-crossing pattern symbolises a harmony of opposites.

‘Thresholds’ at The Hari Hong Kong extends White Cube’s collaboration with the hotel through their annual The Hari Art Prize, which originated in The Hari London, with Irene Bradbury, Global Director, Artist Liaison at White Cube, serving on the judging panel for the London prize. In 2023, The Hari Hong Kong introduced this event, now in its third year.  Wendy Xu, Managing Director, Asia at White Cube, is part of the judging panel for The Hari Art Prize 2026 in Hong Kong.

‘Thresholds, curated by Galuh Sukardi’ is on view at White Cube Hong Kong until 10 January 2026. Concurrently, the exhibition extends to The Hari Hong Kong until 31 March 2026.

About The Hari Hong Kong

Opened in December 2020, The Hari Hong Kong is the vision of Dr. Aron Harilela, Chairman and CEO of Harilela Hotels Ltd, and the second hotel to open under the ‘The Hari’ brand. Every room is equipped with a full range of modern amenities, thoughtfully allocated functional spaces, comfortable bedding, a sofa, and a spa-style bathroom with a rain shower, catering to all travel lifestyles, whether it be a family vacation or a business trip.

The accommodation highlight at Pattaya Marriott Resort and Spa is the four styles of suites, which deliver an exclusive experience through luxury and sophisticated taste, complete with spacious private areas. These range from the M Suite (50 sq.m.), Garden Suite (75 sq.m.), and Sunset Suite (75 sq.m.) to the Sugar Palm Suite (88 sq.m.).

Guests can immerse themselves in views of the shimmering, curving waters of the Gulf of Thailand, the lush greenery of the resort’s well-landscaped gardens, or the relaxing vista of the swimming pool in the heart of the resort, making every second an elevated and memorable retreat.
