The three-day, two-night cruise “combines the best of both worlds; two awe-inspiring seascapes, in the northern reaches of the Gulf of Tonkin, each alluring and remarkable in their own way,” said Nguyen Cao Son, founder of Asia Premier Cruises Corporation, which owns Ambassador Cruise.

On the first day of the cruise, passengers board Ambassador Cruise 1, the largest and most luxurious vessel in Halong Bay, featuring 46 cabins with a private balcony or terrace, twin 360-degree sundecks, a restaurant, plush piano lounge, bars, an open-air Jacuzzi pool, and a spa. Highlights of the itinerary’s first day include a buffet lunch with views of Halong Bay’s limestone islets, experiencing Luon Cave’s compelling lake on a bamboo boat or kayak, and the chef’s special dinner at the vessel’s restaurant. Passengers also visit Titov Island, famous for its crescent moon-shaped beach and, at the island’s peak, 360-degree views of Halong Bay.

The following day, guests explore Sung Sot Cave, Halong Bay’s largest and most impressive cave with incredible stalactites before disembarking at Halong International Cruise Port to visit iconic landmark Quang Ninh Museum and other historical sites such as Dong Pagoda. Showcasing archaeological artifacts from prehistoric times to the modern era, the museum is also home to Vietnam’s biggest whale skeleton.

Passengers then set sail on the relatively uncharted waters of Lan Ha Bay that afternoon and evening aboard Ambassador Signature Cruise before returning to Halong International cruise Port by speedboat on the third day.

Unprecedented for Lan Ha Bay, Ambassador Signature Cruise offers 39 cabins with a private balcony or terrace, a spacious sundeck, restaurant, piano lounge, bars, spa, and a water slide that takes guests to the bay’s emerald sea. A delectable lunch and premium Michelin-standard dinner menu are served at the vessel’s restaurant. Another highlight of the second day of the itinerary is a visit to Viet Hai, a traditional floating fishing village, which showcases the daily lives of locals.

Day three of the cruise includes a visit to and a tour through Light and Dark Cave by bamboo boat or kayak. The cave features impressive stalactites and leads to a peaceful lake surrounded by towering limestone cliffs.

Guests have the option of starting the second and third days of the cruise with a tai chi session on the sundeck before a light breakfast is served in the piano bar and a full breakfast at the restaurant. Happy Hour drinks and canapes, live music, spa treatments, and squid fishing are also on offer during the cruise.

Although it retains all the majesty of its superstar neighbor Halong Bay, Lan Ha Bay sees a fraction of the traffic. The two seascapes are virtually interchangeable, but the lack of tourist boats gives Lan Ha Bay a more isolated appeal.

Since launching its first vessel in 2021, Ambassador Cruise has made a name for itself as the leading luxury cruise operator on Halong Bay. “Sustainability is top of mind in everything we do at Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor – from sourcing local ingredients in our restaurants and eliminating single-use plastics to other initiatives aimed at reducing our carbon footprint – and we are thrilled to be able to offer our guests these eco-friendly tuk-tuk passenger vehicles,” said General Manager Joseph Colina.

The new tuk-tuks are manufactured by ONiON Mobility, a green transport company headquartered in the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh. The partnership between Raffles and ONiON underscores a shared commitment to environmental sustainability, the hotel said.

Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor originally opened in 1932 as a rest stop for archeologists and adventurers exploring the ancient kingdom of Angkor Wat.

Earlier this year, the hotel unveiled a series of exclusive ‘Curated Journeys’ offering guests new ways to experience Siem Reap’s rich culture and history.

These include a ‘Bespoke Temple Dinner’ served by candlelight at the magnificent temple complex of Angkor; a ‘Lost Civilisations of Angkor by Vespa’ tour, where the ancient world meets the here-and-now; ‘Meet the Elephants of Angkor’, a memorable visit to an elephant sanctuary where guests can get up close and personal with these gentle giants; ‘Khmer Culinary Discovery’, which offers a deep dive into the culture and traditions of authentic Cambodian cuisine; ‘Siem Reap Art Tour’ explores the city’s flourishing art scene; and ‘Reflections of Angkor’, which offers a unique opportunity to develop one’s photography skills.

Unfolding uniquely across each floor, it offers various areas for dining, socializing, large gatherings, and celebrations, each providing a distinct experience.

• Upon arrival, guests will first be welcomed to the 57th floor, where they can enjoy a beverage lounge featuring a sculptural bar with semi-gloss black plaster and gold relief wrapping around the perimeter, forming a reflective metal grid containing shimmering crystal light fixtures, provides a delightful start to the evening. Here, they can sip drinks and unwind before their meal. The journey then continues to several private dining rooms inspired by the tea ceremony concept. The private dining suite, inspired by contemporary Japanese sake rooms, offers stunning views of Bang Krachao. The total combined seating is 42 seats. • The 60th floor, the highest Nobu rooftop bar offers an open-sky rooftop experience with infinity views that are unparalleled in Nobu’s restaurants worldwide. The circular space is framed by organically shaped infinity pools, with 54 seats. A feature bar is topped with a monumental, curved arch, a giant sculpture that helps frame the view in a crackled, gold mosaic.

At Nobu Bangkok Restaurant and Rooftop Bar, chefs skillfully craft the Japanese-influenced menu, serving highlight dishes such as Toro Tartar, finely minced with garlic and onion in a wasabi soy sauce, topped with caviar and spring onion; Yellowtail Jalapeno, sashimi set in yuzu soy sauce with jalapeno, garlic puree, and coriander; and Beef Toban Yaki, grilled beef tenderloin with garlic puree, flamed with sake and deglazed with yuzu soy sauce, served with white onions, haricot vert, enoki, and shiitake mushrooms, and many more. The new agreement was signed in May with the official name change taking place in May 2025. The charming destination, located within the national park, will become Meliá Ba Vi Mountain, Member of Meliá Collection. The award-winning 55-room and villa property, set deep in the forest, was selected for its commitment to sustainability, unique location, and an unparalleled design aesthetic that fuses French colonial and Vietnamese village architecture. It is built upon the historic foundations of a French residence and embraces the local landscape with abundant open spaces and a lineup of activities that immerse guests in the surrounding primitive landscape.

Ba Vi’s only resort by a global brand will undergo refurbishments to further elevate its gastronomic offering and increase the range of wellness and well-being activities, in the spa and beyond. All-inclusive plans are also in the works to enable guests to have a full experience of the property.

The resort, known for its nature-based excursions, will strongly emphasize delivering exclusive experiences to guests. These experiences will range from a guided tour of the 200 relics in the historic French hill station to a rejuvenating forest bathing session where visitors will uncover the mystical legends of the mountain and forge a deep connection with nature using all their senses. The highlight of this excursion is a meditation session to the symphony of nature sounds set against the soothing backdrop of a cascading waterfall. Guests can also partake in a hands-on workshop to learn the natural dyeing techniques used for generations by the indigenous ethnic community residing in the area.

Meliá Danang Beach Resort Completes Ambitious Expansion Project - TRAVELNEWSHUB.comMeliá Danang Beach Resort has refreshed its Spanish charm with the completion of a two-year renovation that added 262 rooms, new MICE facilities, an expanded restaurant offering and a fresh look for the lobby and pool area.

The new rooms and suites feature open-plan modern interiors. The decor is inspired by beach culture with a sandy color scheme, pops of blue, and ocean-inspired artwork. Elements of local culture are also apparent, including bamboo lamps. Two room categories were added including a Premium Partial Ocean View. The 42 square meter room features a rain shower and soaking tub, and a double bed or two twins, along with a desk space and comfy sofa to enjoy the outlook. The Deluxe Sea View room, at 38 square meters, can also accommodate a double or twin bed and features a similar bright and crisp interior design.

As the popular coastal city continues to draw both business and leisure travelers, the hotel has also groomed its MICE appeal with two new upscale ballrooms and five new breakout rooms, each of which is named for the five traditional elements of metal, earth, wood, water, and fire. The five individual peaks of the sacred Marble Mountains also carry the same monikers.

The beachfront resort now offers a total of five different meeting/convention rooms and seven breakout rooms. The largest and newest ballroom, Vistar, is able to accommodate up to 600 guests at 620 square meters. The modern Marble meeting space, at 558 square meters, has a capacity of up to 500 guests.

Cape Nao, the Spanish culinary soul of the property has further tapped into Meliá’s Mediterranean roots with the expansion of the outdoor terrace area, increasing the capacity for outdoor dining to 110 guests. The new, spacious dining area, overlooking the ocean, epitomizes the Mediterranean lifestyle, with its preference for outdoor living and enjoying good food under the sun.

The hotel has seven different pools, three of which are available exclusively for The Level guests. With the refurbishment, the water height of the main pool is now level with the surrounding landscaping, and boasts an unobstructed view of the sandy shore and waves beyond.

The hotel’s arrival experience has been further elevated with the addition of a covered arrival area surrounded by tropical foliage.

Meliá Danang Beach Resort is a 521-key resort with multiple dining outlets introducing Mediterranean and South East Asian flavors, wellbeing offerings ranging from pampering at its YHI Spa to more physical pursuits such as yoga classes or exercising at the gym, and nine different room and suite options to meet the varying needs of guests.
