Banyan Tree, a world-renowned independent multi-branded hospitality group, has partnered with Thai developer Creston Holding Ltd. to introduce Banyan Tree Residences Creston Hill, the first-ever luxury branded residences adjacent to the UNESCO world heritage site Khao Yai National Park. This expansive project, with a Gross Development Value of THB 17 billion, is situated within a 226-rai site that includes over 30 rai of serene lakes in the beautiful valley. In its initial phase, the newly introduced branded residences comprise 21 fully furnished luxury pool villas with three and four bedrooms and 16 low-rise condominium buildings, offering one, two, and three-bedroom options, all blending seamlessly with the serene landscape. Through this partnership, Banyan Tree and Creston Holding Ltd. aspire to redefine the concept of luxury living in Thailand, harmoniously combining natural beauty with the highest standards of comfort and elegance.

Reveals Mr. Ho Kwon Ping, Executive Chairman of Banyan Tree Holdings, “With the unveiling of our latest Banyan Tree Residences in Thailand, we’re bringing to life an unparalleled integrated development with exquisite villas and condos, along with a hotel and a Veya wellness resort. But at the heart of this project are the luxurious residences which stems from our profound understanding that a home is not just a space, but an experience. This project reaffirms Banyan Tree’s enduring commitment to curating luxury habitats that transcend the ordinary.”

Mr. Chayaditt Hutanuwatra, Chairman, Creston Holding Ltd. adds, “In our partnership with Banyan Tree Group, Creston Holding Ltd. sees an unprecedented opportunity to elevate Thailand’s luxury real estate landscape. Adjacent to the Khao Yai National Park, our development brings together pristine nature and architectural excellence. We’re not merely constructing residences but shaping a gold standard for luxury living in Thailand. We are immensely proud to join hands with Banyan Tree, a global hospitality brand and bring their distinctive touch to Khao Yai.”

As proud owners of Banyan Tree Residences Creston Hill, residents have the privilege of indulging in the exclusive Banyan Tree signature owner program, “The Sanctuary Club,” which offers discounts and privileges across the Banyan Tree global network.

Mr. Stuart Reading, Managing Director, Group Property Development, Banyan Tree Group, adds, “The burgeoning trend of branded residences in Thailand has seen substantial growth. Khao Yai’s surroundings are quickly emerging as a prime location that has captivated the domestic market for years. The national park is only 200 km from Bangkok and stands out for its mix of nature, adventure, and beautiful weather. Thais have always valued the refreshing contrast it offers to urban Bangkok. At Banyan Tree, our core philosophy aligns closely with this respect for nature, driving sustainable development that adds value to the communities we serve and the partner we work with. We adhere to a triple bottom line encompassing economic viability, societal contribution, and environmental responsibility.”

Each meticulously designed villa of Banyan Tree Residences Creston Hill features a spacious three- or four-bedroom layout, expansive living areas, and outdoor decks. Fully furnished and managed as part of the hotel offerings, the villas, with a starting price of 60 million THB provide owners with rental distribution as well as complimentary usage each year. Each villa serves as a private sanctuary, blending the indoors with the outdoors with inventive elements like “disintegrated walls” and sliding louvres. Every bedroom in these villas presents a private courtyard that frames scenic nature views. The tranquil ambiance of each villa is accentuated by interiors mirroring the hues of misty forests. Owners are further indulged with complimentary stays within the Banyan Tree network.

The condominiums, guarantee unmatched privacy, presenting panoramic mountain and lake views. Available in one-, two-, and three-bedroom configurations, the condos vary in size from 64 to 295 square meters with a starting price around 15 million THB. Features abound, from a cantilevered swimming pool and sprawling terraces for three-bedroom units to private rooftop terrace in the penthouses. These freehold units, suitable as primary residences or secondary, also provide an optional furniture package as well as optional property management services by Banyan Tree, including rentals and maintenance.

Crafted to meet diverse needs and preferences, Banyan Tree Residences Creston Hill is a testament to luxury living. Elaborating on the project, Mr. Reading reveals, “We offer buyers a chance for investment, a second home or a holiday home, in our residential development. Why choose us? Banyan Tree is more than just a brand; it signifies prestige and trust. It offers quality assurance, lifestyle, and amenity-rich living, enhanced by concierge and a la carte hospitality services. Owners enjoy hassle-free property management while preserving long-term resale value.”

Moreover, our signature owner program, The Sanctuary Club, extends a suite of benefits to property owners, including worldwide discounts within the Banyan Tree network, priority waitlists, early check-ins, late check-outs, and exclusive invitations through our Xperential Guest Program. A multi-lingual owner services team and pre-launch offers on new projects enhance the ownership experience. At Banyan Tree, we bring luxury living closer to nature, setting a new benchmark in residential real estate.”

Adding to its charm, the property’s location beside the UNESCO-designated Khao Yai National Park, which covers 2,000 square km. of grasslands and untouched rainforest, offers rich biodiversity and a treasure trove of adventurous activities. The region boasts a moderate climate, with an average annual temperature of 21°C. During May, temperatures typically peak at 26-27°C, while they can dip below 10°C in the colder months of December and January. Golf enthusiasts will appreciate the four prominent golf courses nearby. Additionally, the area offers a plethora of leisure activities. Whether the residents are keen on hiking through the national park, bird watching, sipping coffee in themed cafés, stand-up paddle boarding, or kayaking on Creston Hill Lake, there’s something for everyone, all a mere 200 km. from Bangkok.

Benefitting from a fully developed infrastructure that includes underground electrical systems, water supply, fiber optics, roads, drainage, and CCTV surveillance, the development’s air of luxury and exclusivity is further amplified by its proximity to the upscale gated community of Creston Hill Estate. The project’s prime location is set to become even more accessible with the completion of a new freeway, significantly reducing drive time from Bangkok and boosting demand from both domestic and international tourists, and those seeking primary or secondary residences.

Banyan Tree Residences Creston Hill anticipates that the majority of buyers will be domestic, supplemented by international buyers as Khao Yai emerges as an internationally recognised destination, aligning perfectly with key property trends in Thailand for 2023. The Thai residential real estate market has been growing steadily, economic growth, and increasing urbanization. Housing markets in six major provinces, including Nakhon Ratchasima, where Khao Yai is located, are set to strengthen between 2023-2025, aided by economic recovery, infrastructure investment, and the anticipated return of foreign tourism to pre-Covid-19 levels by 2025. The Nakhon Ratchasima and Khao Yai property market is buoyed by its role as a regional center and by infrastructure development with projects like a local motorway and high-speed rail link leading to increasing sales of holiday homes.

This ground-breaking project is more than a real estate development; it’s a holistic lifestyle experience that fuses luxury, sustainability, and wellness. Situated next to the scenic Khao Yai National Park and fortified by state-of-the-art infrastructure, the development sets new standards in Thailand and the global real estate and hospitality sectors. Perfectly timed to leverage favorable economic conditions and market trends, the project offers a luxurious lifestyle and a solid investment opportunity underpinned by one of the most branded residence industry’s most trusted names. As Thailand’s property market experiences growth, driven by economic revival and a tourism boom, Banyan Tree Residences Creston Hill is positioned to be a milestone development that harmonizes luxury with nature and well-being.

Adds Mr. Chayaditt,“This isn’t just a chance to acquire a luxurious home; it’s an opportunity to invest in a lifestyle of the future where luxury is balanced with nature and wellness.”

TIA Wellness Resort Launches New Gym Experiences

900 600 wttc2

TIA Wellness Resort Launches New Gym Experiences - TRAVELINDEXDA NANG, Vietnam (Oct 12, 2023) – TIA Wellness Resort, has opened two distinct and separate gyms, each of which mirrors one of the concepts at the core of all their wellbeing offerings.

“We personalize stays under two pillars, Stillness and Splash, that encapsulate what people are typically looking for when they book a holiday with us,” said Ramon Imper, general manager of the resort. “Sometimes a guest wants to go inwards and cultivate that sense of inner stillness, calm, and peace. This is our Stillness pillar. Sometimes the guest is ready to focus that energy outwards, to be creative and expressive. This is our Splash pillar.”

The Splash gym is all about strength, power training, and pushing limits. With its dark charcoal interior and a polished yet industrial vibe the Splash gym has a brawnier feel with a full collection of dumbbells, kettlebells, Technogym benches, battle ropes, jump ropes, Kinesis personal, Plyo boxes, a boxing bag and more. Touch screens are available throughout the space with digital personal training and guidance available for all workout variations and fitness goals. The upbeat music was chosen to encourage a more active sweat session and even the aroma which permeates the space uses energizing oils.

The Stillness gym is bright, light and airy. The focus here is on cardio and stretching with a selection of Technogym cardio equipment including a Skillmill (a curved treadmill), Excite Live Run treadmill, Group Cycle Ride bike and Skill row, along with yoga mats, foam rollers, and an exercise ball. There’s also a crisp, white relaxation sofa, and local calligraphy artwork.

Both rooms channel vistas of lush tropical foliage or the ocean through floor-to-ceiling windows. All guests are invited to use either space, and can choose the type of workout depending on their mood, or exercise in both spaces. Detox refreshing stations and a fully plant-based protein smoothie selection are also available in each gym as part of the pre- or post- workout routine.

“The stark visual contrast of both gyms, and their interplay with the senses through aroma and music, have been designed to help stimulate two different styles of workout that are both equally valid and important,” added Imper. “There’s a sense of yin and yang with each space and we’ve tried to offer a sense of balance by creating these two new gyms.”

The changes to the workout spaces follow enhancements that were made to the resort’s expansive wellness center in recent months. An invigorating outdoor ice bath was also recently added as part of new detox therapies.

DIFFERENT STROKES: Sunwing campaign gets creative

600 275 wttc2

From max relaxers to adventure hunters, Canadians have distinct preferences when it comes to maximizing their vacations, according to a new survey from Sunwing. And with this in mind, the tour company has launched a winter campaign that reflects these diverse travel styles and preferences, encouraging clients to see their next holiday “in a new light.”

The survey reveals that over a quarter of Canadians (27%) considering themselves “max relaxers” who like to lie low and relax while on vacation. Similarly, another quarter (28%) describe themselves as “reserved vacationers” who tend to keep to themself and/or their travelling companions. On the other hand, over one-fifth (22%) liken themselves to “adventure hunters” who enjoy exploring new, fun activities on their vacations. Of particular note: this figure increases to one-third (34%) among younger Canadians between 18-34 years of age.

Meanwhile, 12% of Canadians consider themselves “sun-seekers” who love nothing more than soaking up the sunshine on holiday, while one-in-10 (9%) consider themselves “social butterflies” who relish meeting new people, socializing and talking to fellow vacation-goers.

The survey was conducted in both English and French between Sept. 22 and 25, 2023 with a nationally representative sample of 1,504 Canadians who are members of the Angus Reid forum.

“Our research shows us that there are distinct personas that define how Canadians like to travel. While unplugging from daily life, dialling up the relaxation and spending time with their travelling companions is high on many Canadians’ wish lists, an equal number of Canadians are keen to amp up the adventure and try out new experiences… whether that’s laying out by the pool in Punta Cana or zip-lining over the treetops in Mexico or Costa Rica,” says Samantha Taylor, Chief Marketing Officer for Sunwing Vacations Group.

Among Canadians who intend to travel to a sun destination in the upcoming year, approximately one-third (30%) said they will maximize their time in destination by working on their tan by the beach or pool, while one-fifth respectively intend to indulge at on-site restaurants (20%) or head off of the resort property for fun adventures (19%).

As for who they intend to travel with on their next sun vacation, half (53%) of survey respondents indicated that they plan to travel with their partner or significant other, while one-quarter (28%) will travel with family members including their children or parents. Another 12% plan to travel with friends, while less than one in 10 (7%) indicated they will be travelling solo.
In addition, when asked what the most important factor is when booking a sun vacation, nearly half (45%) of those likely to travel say overall value for the money paid is their top consideration. This is followed by the safety and reputation of the destination, cited by over one-quarter (28%) as being the most important consideration.

New campaign

Meanwhile, Sunwing has unveiled its new winter campaign and commercial which challenges travellers to think about a getaway to the sun in a different light. The ‘Save More Do More’ promotion comes to life via a commercial spot broadcasted on specialty channels in Toronto and Montreal, radio, out-of-home, social media, digital video, and a cinema buy with commercial placements at Cineplex theatres this fall, plus content partnerships with creators, most notably, Canadian media personality, comedian and mom, Jessi Cruickshank, representing the vacationing families that are core to the Sunwing brand.

The humorous commercial spot, directed by Benji Weinstein, taps into the distinct personas that emerge when Canadians embark on their getaways – from the sunscreen denier to the treetop skimmer, and paints a portrait of how Sunwing exceeds travellers’ expectations through clever juxtapositions and lighthearted storytelling.

“Since introducing Sunwing Vacations’ new value proposition and whimsical brand personality last season, our teams have dedicated the last year to engaging with our customers to gain a deeper understanding of their diverse travel styles and preferences so we can continue to evolve alongside them,” says Taylor.

“In an increasingly competitive market, we’ve learned that our success comes from being distinct and our latest winter campaign, one rooted in relatable humour and optimism, is a true representation of how we’re continuing to build on our brand identity. We’re telling the story that leisure and all-inclusive travel goes beyond what’s familiar, and showing how our customers can save more and do more with us.”
